Who we are

Gecko Cabane, a French-Thai restaurant at Maharat Road, Krabi Town, Thailand. We are responsible for the personal data you give us through this website.

What we collect

When you request a reservation, we collect:

  • your name;
  • your phone number;
  • your email address;
  • your booking details: date, time, number of guests and occasion, if any;
  • if you tick the box, your consent to receive our news, recorded with the date, the source and the version of the consent text;
  • technical anti-abuse data, stored only as irreversible hashes and deleted after 2 days;
  • if you use the "Something wrong?" form on the review page: your message and, if you provide it, your email address, sent by email to the restaurant and not stored on the website.

Why we use it

We use your details to:

  • handle and confirm your reservation;
  • contact you about that reservation;
  • send you our newsletter, only if you ticked the consent box. We never sell your data.

Legal basis and your rights

We handle your reservation to carry out your request, and send the newsletter based on your consent. Under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA B.E. 2562) and the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • access your data;
  • have it corrected;
  • have it erased;
  • object to its processing;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, without giving a reason;
  • lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority.

How long we keep it

We keep your data only as long as needed:

  • reservation data: 24 months after your visit;
  • newsletter consent: until you withdraw it;
  • anti-abuse hashes: 2 days.

Who we share it with

Your data is never sold. It is processed by service providers, by category:

  • website hosting;
  • database hosting;
  • transactional email delivery;
  • audience measurement without cookies (Plausible Analytics): page views and clicks, without any personal identifier, hosted in the European Union.
